Dewberry, an AEC industry national professional services firm, is currently seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Solutions Integration Architect (Engineer) to join our Information Technology Group based in Fairfax, VA. Remote work may be considered for the right candidate. This is a new position and is responsible for the design, build, configuration, deployment, and support of software interfaces and data pipelines across our enterprise platforms, proprietary systems, and third-party vendors. This position reports to the Director of Enterprise Solutions and serves as a technical integration expert for our current enterprise platforms, which include our Microsoft Azure/Power BI environment, Deltek Vantagepoint (ERP), Deltek Vision (CRM), and Ceridian Dayforce (Payroll/Benefits). As Dewberry continues along its digital transformation journey (2-4 years), integrations with future enterprise platforms(HR & Financial Planning & Analysis) may be in-scope. The right candidate must have hands-on integration build/development experience. This role actively works with the enterprise solutions team, product vendors, as well as our BI, Cybersecurity, and Engineering teams, to evaluate integration technologies, design & review solutions, and develop/implement these solutions. In collaboration with cybersecurity and our engineering teams, this role will help to establish an integration strategy & set of integration standards, enabling Dewberry and its clients to have complete trust in our ability to protect and transmit data. A successful candidate must have a natural affinity for data, as well as a solid understanding of data models, data governance, data security and database design.

Responsibilities

  • Document/ maintain documentation & reference architecture for enterprise platform integrations
  • Lead integration design and architecture efforts for Dewberry's enterprise platforms
  • Engage in and assist with data conversions & data migrations for new platforms
  • Actively participate with the BI team in the design of data pipelines and the scalable ETL process; able to critically think and challenge design assumptions.
  • Develop and implement system interfaces and integration programs
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot operational integration issues as needed
  • Collaborate with vendors and Dewberry IT/functional teams as needed to deliver on integration needs
  • Manage workload across multiple projects with minimal supervision while adhering to project timelines
  • Directly support end users and SMEs with data and/or integration related issues
  • Research & learn new & relevant technologies as needed


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • 5-10 years of direct integration experience; 10-15 years of IT experience
  • Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Integration of ERP systems with budgeting (FP&A), BI platforms, & other 3 rd party systems/providers
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and Ceridian Dayforce a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Data Lake, Power BI, and/or Azure data factory a plus
  • Microsoft SQL, SQL Server BI Studio (SSIS)
  • Web technologies and standards, XML/XSL, html, JSON, Odata,
  • REST based APIs & REST oriented Architecture (ROA)
  • HTTP, SFTP, SSH, and SOAP Protocols
