Employer Engagement Coordinator The George Mason University, University Career Services is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for the Employer Engagement Coordinator position. In partnership with our strong network of employers, alumni, and faculty, we are able to break down barriers and successfully connect students with meaningful opportunities in their industries of interest to help them reach their full potential and advance not only themselves socio-economically, but their families too.About the Position: The Employer Engagement Coordinator will be committed to activities which support Mason's diverse community including attracting and promoting employers committed to equity and inclusion. May be eligible for up to 1 day of telework after the 90-day onboarding period. Responsibilities: Provide excellent frontline customer service to employers interested in recruiting at Mason and enforcing employer recruiting and student conduct policies; Manage and coordinate Signature Recruiting Events including, but not limited to, the On-Campus Interview Program, Practice Interview Days and Resume Clinic, which involves aspects of scheduling, room reservations, ordering supplies, marketing/outreach, event registration, check-in/out procedures and evaluation; Maintain full responsibility for managing and approving new employer accounts and job/internship positions in the Handshake database; Assume managerial responsibility of and strategic vision for the involvement of student worker(s) assigned to the Employer Relations Team; andProactively seek new and innovative methods for providing enhanced services to our employer partners and on-campus recruiters.Service ResponsibilitiesSupport staffing needs for large-scale events (e.g. career fairs, orientation), both in-person and virtually. Contribute to UCS strategic plan development and implementation. Serve on division/university committees to represent UCS. Serve as liaison to university departments as appropriate. Participate in all-staff meetings, trainings and symposia for UCS and the division. Represent Mason and the center in local and national professional associations and conferences in order to stay current with industry standards and changes, revise programs to reflect trends, and increase the center's visibility among professionals in the field. Required Qualifications: Outstanding customer service skills to meet the needs of students, employers and Mason staff; Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach; Strong communication skills for communicating processes and policies, with ability to give presentations; Technical proficiency including data entry, records management and report generation using Handshake database, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint; Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously; Attention to detail; Strong phone and email etiquette; Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in order to establish and maintain working relationships with employers and the office/campus community; Ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships; Strong initiative and ability to work independently; andAbility to work and communicate effectively with a diverse population. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience;Previous experience working in customer service, administrative assistant/receptionist, events management and/or higher education roles;Demonstrated experience in day-to-day administration, evaluation, and improvement of programs;Ability to compile, write, and present reports;Experience with data entry and records management; andKnowledge of career management software.
