Title: Research and Finance Coordinator

Category Status – 33 – Exempt Regular

Position Summary/Purpose of Position

This staff position will provide support in the areas of pre-award and post-award, as well as financial reporting for non-sponsored activities. This includes assisting faculty in the preparation, review and submission of proposals, as well as preparation and analysis of financial reports that are used to manage and forecast the department’s activities related to sponsored and non-sponsored funding.

Education:

Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

3-5 years progressively responsible experience in a combination of budgeting, account reconciliation and analysis and/or finance, preferably in a University setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent customer service skills required including effective written and oral communication skills.

Applicants should have the ability to work independently and must be able to exercise good judgement. Applicants should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with BA4 Priority or similar financial tracking system Experience with preparation and submission of research proposals to Federal agencies.
