Primary Purpose

To carry out all duties relating to the marketing activities of Emmes' Centers of Excellence. To increase awareness and to establish Emmes' Centers of Excellence as strong brands within the Contract Research & Development markets (CRO industry).

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for identifying marketing trends and opportunities for the growth of Emmes' Centers of Excellence, globally. Presentations about ongoing campaigns and administrative support to our sales team are also part of this role.

Plays a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with existing clients as well as prospects globally. The Marketing Manager's responsibilities include producing unique lead generation campaigns and working with the Business Development team to qualify leads, while meeting marketing and sales objectives. Please note that positions that require travel for Emmes must be able to provide proof of being fully vaccinated.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in new product development lifecycle matching customer needs and revenue streams to new services within each Emmes Center of Excellence.
  • Identify communication needs and opportunities and create strategies to fulfill these and reflect the company position.
  • Create and execute specific marketing plans for Emmes' Centers of Excellence.
  • Work alongside subject matter experts and digital team to implement campaigns and achieve key objectives and KPI's.
  • Ensure timely reporting on success of activities, feeding insights and recommendations into future planning.
  • Manage marketing resources, including selection and development, whilst balancing the utilization of in-house and external resources.
  • Inform marketing objectives and develop campaign and content plans to deliver these and strengthen customer centricity through different marketing channels.
  • Manage tradeshow objectives as they pertain to each Center of Excellence.
  • Assist with improving Emmes' Centers of Excellence corporate presentations and marketing material while ensuring they meet brand identity strategy.
  • Write content for both print and web as needed.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and continuous improvement of marketing processes to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Report on competitive landscape, including positioning and market share of CRO market.
  • Participate in acquisition strategy for Emmes' Centers of Excellence, including the identification of potential acquisition targets.


Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations or in a related field required.
  • 5+ years' experience in a related marketing role, preferably within a global health, clinical research, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.
  • 2+ years working with Cell & Gene Therapy, Ophthalmology and/or Vaccines and Infectious Diseases preferred.
  • Ability to travel ~10% of working time.
    • Please note that positions that require travel for Emmes must be able to provide proof of being fully vaccinated.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint.
  • Deep understanding of marketing automation software such as Hubspot, or Marketo.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of scientific and research terminology in written communication materials desired.
