Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Writer/Editor, Internal Communications who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Writer/Editor, Internal Communications you will:

• Translate important information accurately into reader-centric, plain language that is appropriate for diverse audiences and different communication channels
• Format content for both email and SharePoint channels
• Work collaboratively with many different subject matter experts as well as be a self-starter to build relationships with additional team members
• Manage the entire production cycle for a daily systemwide e-newsletter (NewsBriefs) through standardized processes to ensure all deadlines are met
• Support the entire production cycle for select systemwide memos and other materials
• Help improve communications through data analysis of deployments, surveys and focus groups as well as explore alternative strategies

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or English (or related field)
• Three years or more of direct experience in crafting and editing written materials (internal communications a plus)
• Outstanding writing skills to engage readers, seasoned copywriting experience, superior proofreading skills and an impeccable attention to detail
• Firm understanding of AP Style Guidelines and ability to uphold AHC Writing Style and Brand Identity Guidelines while still honoring the individual voice of the stakeholder or leader
• Ability to work well within a team and with people at all levels of the organization, using strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong project management/coordination experience with a high attention to detail
• Excellent organization skills and self-initiative to prioritize and independently balance a large volume of work with tight deadlines
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Word, Forms, PowerPoint, Acrobat and Excel (Teams and SharePoint a plus)
• Experience with email platforms such as Mailchimp, Bananatag or Poppulo (social media and blogging a plus)
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, especially the ability to modify vector icons or crop images (proficiency a plus)
