Summary

This position in 100% remote.

The salary for this posiiton is $113,567.95.

The Systems Analyst position is located in the USAID Management Bureau's, Office of Management Systems, Overseas Management Division (M/MS/OMD). M/MS/OMD is the Washington backstop for all Executive Officers (EXOs) overseas. M/MS/OMD provides needed technical, policy, and programmatic support to EXOs in the field and serves as the focal point in Washington for EXO-related issues.

Responsibilities

Work you'll do

As a S ystems Analyst within our USAID team, you will:
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of USAID's EXO operations overseas and USAID/Washington technology initiatives.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of IT solutions for EXO operations overseas.
  • Analyze requests from the field for new IT solutions, help develop solution requirements and cost/benefit analyses for proposals for new solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on EXO IT solutions, working in collaboration with program/technical stakeholders, to facilitate the development of new solutions, modification of existing systems, and decision-making and action.
  • Conduct routine data review of EXO IT solutions that have been deployed to report on usage and success stories associated with each solution.
  • Consult EXO and other associated field staff on a regular basis to determine areas for improvement which could be addressed through IT solutions.
  • Assist M/MS/OMD staff as needed in obtaining mission operational data to perform required analyses.
  • Design, develop and deliver high-quality visualization, presentations, and other information products to support USAID operations at all stages of the IT solution development cycle.
  • Translate complex IT concepts and requirements into clear, digestible, and useable information for both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Contribute to the M/MS/OMD knowledge base by developing documentation, including, but not limited to, technical "how to" guides, and end-user manuals, and by presenting internally and at international meetings/conferences, as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to USAID to support effective and efficient operations management
  • Engage in technical discussions with various USAID Bureaus/Offices/Missions and the interagency to further the use of technology to improve mission operations.
  • Engage in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree with 5+ years of professional relevant work experience or a bachelor's degree with 7+ years of professional relevant work experience.
  • Experience working with overseas operations and a disparate workforce.
  • Experience with developing and performing user acceptance testing, troubleshooting IT issues, and creating user "how to" documentation for systems usage.
  • Experience with leading end-user training sessions related to new software solutions and implementing new IT solutions in an operational environment.
  • Background check required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise IT systems and workflow automation tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of databases and working with reporting tools such as Tableau.
