(Solid Waste Truck Driver-102253)

The University of Maryland has an immediate opening for an experienced trash truck driver. Will operate 30-35 ton front-end loader and roll-off trucks. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years’ experience operating Front End and Roll Off solid waste trucks. A valid Class B or equivalent CDL with appropriate endorsements is required. Must have a safe driving record with less than 6 points and maintain conditions of the CDL including random drug testing and DOT physical.

Position is Essential and subject to 24/7/365 operation, including mandatory overtime for weather related or emergency situations. Starting salary range is $44,843 - $53,811.60 commensurate with experience. UM offers a full benefit package including health insurance, tuition remission for employee and family, and State retirement with the ability to participate in supplemental retirement plans. Starting leave benefits include: 10 days annual leave, 3 personal days, 15 sick days and 14 paid holidays per year (15 in a year of a general or Congressional election, includes end of year break).
