Job Summary
Aptive is seeking a dedicated, forward looking Business Process Expert to support digital transformation within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This individual will work with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), VA Central Office (VACO) or the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to support the administration's mission with activities such as: project, product and product line management; moving from waterfall management processes to Agile and Scaled Agile practices; and from stove-piped development, delivery and operations processes to DevSecOps best practices such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). We are seeking individuals committed to delivering and improving quality services to Veterans.
Primary Responsibilities
A Business Process Expert has experience in the analysis of IT business and information environment, activities, and events. Must have deep knowledge of data analysis, trend finding/patterns. Must be able to identify risks and offer solutions for improving processes that will improve overall agency performance. Must be proficient in some or all of these responsibilities:

- Evaluating existing business processes.
- Determining and outlining business process improvements.
- Coordinating business process improvement strategies with internal stakeholders.
- Overseeing all aspects related to the implementation stages of business process improvement initiatives.
- Analyzing and monitoring implemented changes to business processes and adjusting as needed.
- Guiding and supervising personnel who were assigned specific tasks.
- Performing ongoing analyses on business processes related to productivity, quality, costs, and time management.
- Presenting progress reports and integrating feedback.
- Revising and updating procedures and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in A Business Discipline is required.
(10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.). - 10 years related experience required
- Must have experience in the analysis of IT business and information environment, activities, and events.
- Must have deep knowledge of data analysis, trend finding, patterns and be able to identify risks and offer solutions for improving processes that will improve overall agency performance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Strong customer interaction skills and a demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders-including government Senior Executives-across multiple tasks.
- Experience developing and delivering compelling, informative, and well written prose is a requirement, as is the ability to manage the editing and coordination among diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.
- Knowledge of military and Veteran populations.
