Principal Associate, Digital Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a creative and analytical Principal Associate - In-App Marketing Specialist to support the Retail Bank's marketing efforts in our Capital One apps. This role is critical to the success of our channel strategy team and will be a part of the rapidly growing Bank Marketing organization. You will be a key player on a team dedicated to marketing within our Capital One mobile apps to reach customers, cross-sell new products, drive new account generation and deepen customer engagement.

Within this role, you will own a broad range of campaigns and be responsible for the management and optimization of our in-app marketing campaigns to drive growth and achieve business goals; this includes campaign development, execution and ongoing monitoring and optimization. You will also collaborate with our broader Bank Marketing team to coordinate strategies across channels and ensure our campaigns are fully integrated.

In addition to campaign ownership, you will be a key contributor to developing our overarching channel strategy and long term vision & roadmap. You will work with our Product and Technology partners to understand their roadmaps, and will work with Channel Strategy and Bank Marketing leadership to identify opportunities for channel innovation and drive that agenda forward.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing product marketing campaigns within short-form channels - developing campaign intent, test & learn strategy development, creative development, customer journey mapping & orchestration, stakeholder socialization & communication, and performance tracking & optimization.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working within ambiguity and navigating an ever-changing business landscape. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for data & analytics and experience delivering thoughtful, data-driven strategic recommendations to partners and leaders.

This position can be located in: New York, Wilmington, McLean & Richmond while offering a flexible work environment & schedule.

  • Own development, execution, monitoring and optimization of marketing strategies within our Capital One owned applications
  • Lead new creative development for in-app marketing placements in partnership with internal creative teams
  • Map out and build campaign audiences and customer journeys the support the broader channel strategy
  • Work with other channel strategy leads and broader Marketing organization to coordinate campaigns and customer journeys across multiple channels in an integrated way
  • Continuously monitor campaign performance and identify/execute opportunities for in-flight enhancements
  • Keep pace with Bank & Enterprise Product & Technology enhancements to identify opportunities for channel innovation & optimization
  • Manage stakeholder communications and expectations throughout the campaign lifecycle
  • Recommend new testing opportunities to inform audience & optimization and drive business growth in an efficient & profitable manner
  • Influence and gain buy in from senior leaders on new, innovative marketing initiatives

Ideal candidate will have the following skills:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 4 years experience in product marketing
  • At least 4 years experience planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs
  • At least 4 years driving creative strategy and developing optimization frameworks
  • At least 4 years experience with mapping out, planning and managing customer journeys
  • At least 3 years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Customer Data Platforms or other marketing automation platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in business or marketing
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • 3+ years of marketing journey orchestration experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City

- $114,766 and $135,398 for Principal Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
