AARP's Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) Group includes Membership, Content and Editorial, Customer Experience, External Relations, Brand Strategy and Strategic Communications. Across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, ICM manages AARP's reputation, drives engagement and member growth, and showcases AARP's mission and value through one, integrated voice.

The Video Producer (Multimedia Production Manager) manages multimedia production projects. Collaborates with cross-function teams to evaluate production needs and establish project timelines. Works with producers and editorial teams to develop creative content proposals, scripts, and storyboards for production. Ensures final product adheres to established timelines and budgets and accurately conveys the desired message. Collaborates with senior management to identify opportunities and develop multimedia strategic plans that will position the organization for success.


  • Collaborates with Studios Management and AARP stakeholders to create high-quality content optimized for various digital platforms that aligns with key mission initiatives.
  • Collaborates with impact areas and key stakeholders to develop a unified strategy around creation, placement and performance of digital assets.
  • Develops appropriate visual styles guides based on content and distribution platform.
  • Uses metrics to track performance and implements industry's best-practices to elevate AARP 's digital offerings.


  • 8+ years of editorial digital video production experience, including producing, scripting and content strategy. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality, high-performing video concepts that reach diverse audiences. Ability to ideate and execute compelling video content that aligns with social media strategies, optimizations and best practices based on insights and testing, including for YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Superior knowledge of all aspects of digital content creation and the ability to stay abreast of the ever-shifting video trends across multiple social media channels.
  • Excellence in writing, scripting, editing, and journalistic storytelling skills.
  • Skilled at leading a team/crew (including APs, Editors, DPs, animators, talent, etc) and working collaboratively on production and distribution projects.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage detail-oriented projects and collaborate with business units, technical and creative professionals.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide channel, series, and video performance insights to improve content creation.
  • Ability to collaborate with paid marketing teams to implement paid strategies that lead to growth and tap into new audiences.
  • In-office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
