Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Software Engineer, Associate to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, South Carolina location. As a member of the team, the successful candidate will support the financial systems operations unit responsible for operations and database administration of accounting, reporting, compensation and disbursing systems that support both overseas and domestic customers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute operating procedures to support production financial systems
  • Integrate and automate cycles and Windows activities
  • Coordinate and develop production schedules
  • Installation of application software, core database software upgrades, and patches
  • Develop, test, and maintain database backup, recovery, and replication strategies
  • Plan, test, and execute continuity of operations plans for all applicable systems
  • Must place emphasis on teamwork and work well in a team-oriented environment

Required Qualifications
  • 10 years' experience in computer systems design, requirements analysis, resource management, and systems implementation
  • Five years' experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual server environments, blade servers, and network based data storage environments
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical as well as non-technical information, both orally and in writing
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience working with compensation and financial management systems
  • Experience using SQL and SQL Plus to query Oracle and MSSQL databases
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll application
  • Experience in requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis

Education

BA/BS in Information Technology, business, or closely related field desired.

Clearance
