Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Medical Coder Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Medical Coder Manager, you will:
• Meet and anticipate customer needs.
• Lead an internal team of coders or coding SMEs if appropriate to role
• Hire, review, discipline and separate employment.
• Monitor and report daily/monthly productivity.
• Ensure Team Member compliance with AHC policies and procedures.
• Leading multi-disciplined teams to integrate their solutions & services.
• Manage coding vendor relationships and performance
• Delegate tasks to coding partners/staff for effective completion of assignments when appropriate
• Owner of coding dashboards, performance oversight, and data analytics
• Coordinate review and communication of FAQs and other posted documents for updating as appropriate
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as appropriate
Qualifications include:
• Active and current AAPC or AHIMA CCS credentials required
• At least seven (7) years of coding experience in areas of specialty is required, 10+ plus years preferred
• At least seven (7) years of related work experience required. Three (3) years of Management experience are preferred
• At least seven (7) year of DRG and/or AP-DRG experience required
• At least five (5) years coding within a GBR reimbursement model and/or a fee for service reimbursement model required
• At least five (5) years MHAC experience required for institutional role and preferred for pro-fee role.
• Strong experience with coding audits and accuracy are required. Experience in coding education preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, Health Care Administration or related field s preferred
• Experience with Federal and/or State clients is highly preferred
• Strong client management skills
• Proven ability with operational analyses, processes, and performance indicators

Monday - Friday 8:00am -5:00 pm
