It's one of the many generous benefits offered here at George Mason University.Here's what the job looks like: Be part of a team of skilled trades professionals who enjoy a friendly work environment;Working hours are Sunday - Thursday, from 6:00am - 2:30pm;Performing minor mechanical and electrical repairs;Installing, repairing, and maintaining light fixtures, ballast, and ceiling tiles;Installing, repairing, and maintaining all door closers, panic devices, switches on automatic, and handicap doors;Inspecting and ordering needed parts to repair or replace door pivots and hinges; andInstalling and repairing window treatments such as screens, blinds, and shades; performing preventive maintenance in an orderly, clean condition.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent;Demonstrated progressively more responsible electrical and general maintenance experience (4 years preferred); andMust currently possess an appropriate, active, valid motor vehicle operator's license that meets all of GMU's requirements for operating state vehicles and equipment under Mason's Vehicle Use Policy 1411 https://universitypolicy.gmu.edu/policies/vehicle-use/.
