Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Sr Behavioral Health Therapist for our Adult PHP department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Adventist HealthCare is hiring a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist. We are offering sign-on bonuses up to $10,000

As the Sr Behavioral Health Therapist, you will:
• Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale to develop well-informed clinical impressions and assess patient safety risk. This includes speaking to current identified supports and treatment providers
•Provides individual, group, and family therapies to patients and their families. The primary treatment modality in the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is group therapy.
•Actively Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to propose and develop strategies and interventions that would promote excellent therapeutic outcomes
• Provide Daily assessment of patient safety toward self, others, and within the patient's environment. This would include assessing cases of suspected abuse/neglect and making reports/referrals to proper agencies. The therapist would demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to safely manage patient mental health crises to ensure patient, department, and staff safety.
•Consults and coordinates with the multidisciplinary treatment team, referral sources, and community providers to develop a comprehensive discharge plan and foster positive relationships with community providers and resources
•Supervise interns and graduate level clinicians providing mental health treatment to patients on various behavioral health psychiatric units. Supervision would include a thorough review of intern documentation, maintenance of patient electronic and paper charts, treatment plans, and implementation of clinical interventions
•Other duties as assigned including administrative tasks such as fielding incoming office phone calls, creating and organizing patient materials, filing patient documentation into patient paper charts, and updating files in Shared Drive

Qualifications Include:
•Master's Degree in Social Work or equivalent Master's Degree in a recognized health field Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW-C) preferred, minimum LMSW/LGPC
•2-5 years Social Work Experience Preferred, Experience in an Inpatient Setting Preferred
•Knowledge of psychological disorders & abnormal psychology related to adolescents and adults
•Exceptional conflict resolution, crisis management, and time management skills
•Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills required
•Flexibility in work hours in order to meet patient and organization operating needs
•Ability to consistently meet deadlines regardless of caseload
•Ability to maintain control in volatile/hostile situations, e.g., when being verbally and/or physically confronted by a client or family member

Work Schedule:

Full Time M-F 8am to 4:30pm
