Westat is seeking an individual with broad research, communications, and/or policy-writing skills to work with multidisciplinary teams on a variety of research and technical assistance projects focusing on health care quality, patient experience, patient safety, health IT, value-based payment, and health care delivery and payment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Performing qualitative data collection activities, including recruitment, data collection, and analysis.
• Leading a variety of communications activities involving the development of written communications for website content, toolkit materials, reports, presentations, and conference and meeting proceedings or summaries.
• Developing policy-related material, including program and policy briefs, options papers, and regulations.
• Producing infographics and other data visualization products to effectively present data/results.
• Conducting systematic literature reviews and environmental scans on various health care topics.
• Developing agendas and facilitating internal and external meetings, webinars, and large conference calls involving clients, experts, and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
• A master's degree in public health, health policy, social sciences, or a related field. 
• At least 3 years of work experience in relevant areas.
• Project or task management experience demonstrating the ability to lead work activities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience with research contracts and/or health services research projects.
• Previous experience leading tasks in coordination with other team members.
• Experience conducting qualitative data collection and analysis.
• Project management skills including experience preparing and managing budgets.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.
• Organization skills, including time management ability.
