Our client in the legal industry is looking for an Accounts Receivables Administrator to assist their Accounts Receivable Department. The Accounts Receivables Administrator will be responsible for supervision of all aspects of Accounts Receivable in multiple offices, ensuring accurate and timely completion of staff assignments, and prompt inquiry responsiveness. Qualified candidates must be able to:
  • Communicate regularly with Accounts Receivable staff and the Senior Accounts Receivable Manager concerning all functions of the department
  • Act as liaison between attorneys, secretaries, other staff and clients
  • Ensure timely responsiveness to internal and external inquiries
  • Analyze and reconcile problem accounts and incidents
  • Coordinate all functions necessary for required Accounts Receivable processing according to department procedures
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for Accounts Receivable team members in all offices
  • Oversee, assess, and provide feedback on work product and performance of assigned staff to Senior Accounts Receivable Manager
  • Analyze complex Accounts Receivable arrangements and provide effective management for the purpose of generating accurate and timely transaction entries
  • Reconcile client accounts billing and payments, short payments, unallocated and provide statement of accounts and other collections report
  • Assist with daily cash balancing to include reporting to Partners, Counsel and Finance Management team
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of Accounts Receivable policies and procedures and provide information to clients on onboarding requirements

  • BA in accounting or business related field with applicable accounting courses preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of legal Accounts Receivable preferred (no legal or law firm experience is required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with applicable law firm Accounting software is preferred, at least 2 of which is with 3eEnterprise and ARCS Collection
  • Excel, Windows and Word experience is required
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to meet deadlines on short notice
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to lead by example and cultivate a team environment
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of customers; to converse tactfully over the telephone; to liaison with both internal and external customers
