Adventist Healthcare is seeking to hire an experienced Chest Pain Clinical Coordinator RN for our Chest Pain program who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Chest Pain Clinical Coordinator RN this role will include:
•Nursing Role with market-wide multidisciplinary team collaboration and coordination which promotes the Chest Pain program as it pertains to the care of identified patient populations.
•Collaborates with the health care team, and provides leadership in achieving standards of care, including on-going quality and evidence-based practice to ensure process efficiencies.
•Role also provides formal and informal program education within facilities as is relevant, and collaborates with facility administration, medical directors and nursing staff in order to assure process improvement for the care of the Chest Pain patient.
•Responsible for the development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of the Chest Pain program that complies with national standards for quality of care for Chest Pain patients as determined by the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Society of Chest Pain Centers and governmental regulation for CMS compliance.
•Provides guidance for care to interdisciplinary team as it relates to the standards. Works closely with Emergency Medical Services to assure optimal continuity of care from pre-hospital to hospital.
•Ongoing assessment of knowledge and evaluation of performance in accordance with the Chest Pain Program Accreditation standards and guidelines
•Plans and implements educational programs within specialty areas for patients, families, community groups, and other designated healthcare facilities.
•Facilitates a continuous process for lifelong learning, role transition, skill acquisition and mastery (supports the chest pain team from novice to expert transitions)
•Develops and recommends protocol and guidelines for best practice treatment of cardiac patients across the continuum of care.
•Partners with physician, transferring facilities, MIEMSS and community group
•Contributes to organizational committees, meetings and education programs
Promotes staff participation in continuous improvement efforts and shared governance initiatives. Facilitates participation and contribution
•Responds to Code Heart alerts when in the building and provides individual and group feedback regarding performance
•Oversees, analyzes, and trends data related to throughput of cardiac patients and provides data to applicable hospital leadership to initiate changes as appropriate and improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications include:
•Graduate of accredited school of nursing; B.S.N. required
•Master's Degree / Nurse Practitioner preferred.
•5 years experience in chest pain accreditation, critical Care experience, Emergency nursing, or Emergency Medical Services
•Three (3) years relevant Stemi or Cardiovascular coordinator experience serving the needs of consumers with cardiovascular disease across the care continuum.
•Applicable direct clinical patient care experience in caring for consumers with cardiovascular disease within the past 5 years.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday - Friday
