Research Integrity Project Manager The George Mason University, Office of Research Integrity and Assurance seeks highly motivated, well-qualified applicants for a Research Integrity Project Manager. About the Position:The Office of Research Integrity and Assurance (ORIA) provides resources and services that foster responsible conduct of research at Mason and support the university's commitment to meet the highest ethical standards in research and scholarship.Reporting to the Director, Research Integrity, the Research Integrity Project Manager will perform a wide range of support for ORIA's compliance functions, including but not limited to activities involving conflict of interest and commitment, responsible conduct of research, research involving human and animal subjects, and research integrity.Responsibilities:Supports the business and activities of Mason's Conflict of Commitment (COC) compliance program, including monitoring workflows for outside activity reporting, helping to design program training materials, and preparing and maintaining materials related to COC for Mason websites;Works with the Office of Sponsored Programs and other Mason administrative offices to coordinate COC-related disclosures and unit-level approvals of outside activities;Assists ORIA leadership with implementation of research management software packages and program initiatives across a variety of research compliance subject matter areas;Works with subject matter experts, steering committee members, outside contractors, and Mason faculty and staff to help ensure smooth implementation and operation of compliance-related research management SAS tools;Supports ORIA leadership in designing and preparing research-related policies and procedures, and designs and presents related training and outreach materials; andSupports additional, similar project management and special research project activities in the research integrity and conflict of commitment areas, as assigned by supervisor.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;Project management knowledge, expertise and experience bringing projects to successful completion;Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;Working knowledge or willingness to gain knowledge of federal regulations governing university research compliance;Demonstrated oral and written communication skills;Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational and time-management skills;Ability to work independently and in an inclusive team environment;Ability to work professionally and effectively with faculty, staff, students, and community partners, including management of related sensitive information, while respecting privacy and confidentiality; andProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and platforms for data sharing and management.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in administration, business, or scientific field;Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification;Paralegal certification;Experience working with universities or in a university environment;Experience with university research compliance activities; andProven customer service experience.Candidates must be one of the following:A citizen of the United States;A person who is a lawful permanent resident of the United States (a "Green Card" holder);A person who is a "protected individual" as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a) (3); orA person who is otherwise able to become generally eligible to receive unclassified technical data pursuant to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
