Administrative and Finance SpecialistThe George Mason University, Office of the Provost, is seeking a part-time (25-30 hours per week) Administrative and Finance Specialist to support the Global Education Office. GEO functions as the hub for international educational activities at GMU.Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the Interim Executive Director, GEO, the Administrative and Finance Specialist will serve as GEO's organizational administrative expert, and will manage multiple and diverse administrative functions related to the internal operation of GEO, as well as assist in a couple of key areas of Finance. The duties will include, but are not limited to:General office administration and management;EPAF processing and timesheet management for student wage employees;Student Billing, Scholarships and Finance; andOther projects as assigned.Required Qualifications:Must have intermediate-advanced skills using MS Office suite;Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion;Must have strong organizational skills, and be able to handle competing priorities;Must have some general knowledge of accounting principles;Must possess the ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with a population of diverse individuals; andMust be self-directed, with ability to function autonomously as well as collaboratively.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree;Knowledge of study abroad or international education;Some knowledge of Banner or other ERP systems; andOffice Management experience.
