This position requires an active Secret level clearance SUMMARY This work involves enterprise-level processes that transcend major organizational boundaries. These processes will be optimized and then implemented within the ServiceNow(R) platform. The Data Architect will be a part of a team that implements and configurations the technical environment and be responsible for planning, developing, and administering databases to facilitate all end-user information access and manipulation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: Conducts Business Process Analyses & Reengineering: research, testing, metric development, data analysis, reengineering and report development. Plans and executes configuration management on ServiceNow(R) throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security while overseeing daily configuration management activities. Reviews database schema plan, and access methodologies to identify efficiencies and improvements for storage and access to information. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. Must be a team-oriented, willing to help cover other areas when needed and a self-starter who is able to switch gears throughout the day to address the different needs of each project you are supporting. Performs other job-related duties as required. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory or management authority. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master's Degree in an Information Technology Discipline (eg Computer Science), 10 years experience in data management; extensive process improvement experience may be substituted for degree requirements (15 years specific applicable experience). ServiceNow(R) experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have ServiceNow(R) advanced/intermediate knowledge & experience, IT Service Management knowledge, Audit understanding, Governance understanding , Incident / Problem Management experience. ITSM Certifications and IT Governance experience is also preferred Experience in of ITIL v4 framework Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels across the organization Ability to quantify experience through metrics and measures Documentation skills required. Word, Power Point, Excel * Problem solving skills required. Must be innovative and develop solutions by effective use of available technologies. Need to be skilled in organizing, planning, time management, scheduling, documentation, and meeting deadlines. Data analysis and reporting skills using Excel and SQL preferred. Knowledge of Power BI a plus. How to use SharePoint knowledge a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with business users and IT, and the ability to present solutions to all levels of associates. Must have attention to detail and be a self-starter with a curiosity mindset. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in strict deadlines with minimal supervision. Demonstrated skills with business analysis. Demonstrated knowledge of DoD data architecture, data modeling, and database design and administration. Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen. Cherokee Federal has suspended it's COVID mandate. Executive Order 14042 is currently not subject to enforcement by the Federal government. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment. Work can be performed remotely.
