We are currently looking for a Regional Associate to lead property operations for our residential portfolio consisting of four high-end assets located in Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton, MD. Your New Role As Residential Regional Property Associate, you report to the Residential Regional Property Manager and oversee operations of our growing DC Metro residential portfolio consisting of six assets and 1700 units. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with strong work ethics who takes pride in their work and has strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience managing multiple properties is preferred, including overseeing, and understanding of financial and physical needs of the communities. The Regional Manager is responsible for the financial performance of the assets, staff leadership to include hiring, talent development, employee engagement and retention. The Regional Manager will take pride in ensuring that all communities meet our brand standards which include integrity, customer service, reliability, and efficient operations. Your Responsibilities Oversee operational and financial management of 4-6 apartment communities in DMV market. Ensure occupancy targets are achieved through leasing and resident retention Partner with facilities and engineering teams to ensure physical assets are operating at peak performance levels. Oversee and contribute to annual budget process. Preparation of monthly reports and financial reviews. Ensure operational teams consistently provide strong customer service Oversee execution of proactive and timely reputation management strategies via social media ratings, reviews, responses Effectively leverages talent within portfolio, promoting from within while supplementing with external talent that exemplifies the WPC brand. Actively participates in the hiring process Empowers managers to work collaboratively to accomplish business goals and establish best practices Manages performance issues in a timely and effective manner Fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace Work closely with property teams in the implementation and execution of WPC programs that generate brand alignment Possess thorough knowledge of competitive properties and market knowledge of all assets in portfolio Work directly with the Director of Marketing to create and execute marketing plans for communities Work directly with the Learning and Development Coordinator to ensure ongoing training and employee development Regular travel throughout territory is expected. What You Bring to Us Experience: BA/BS degree required in addition to 5-7 years experience in residential property management, with multi-site management experience that includes both lease-up and stabilized assets, and assets in development/construction. Your operations success record is equally as impressive as your ability to develop empowered teams and lead inclusively. Knowledge of Montgomery County, MD Landlord Tenant Law preferred. Skills: You demonstrate strong, positive, motivational leadership style and enjoy being a coach and a role model. You have excellent communication, (both verbal and written), organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency with property management software platforms, preferably MRI.
