This is a part-time position with Best Ace Hardware located in Milford, DE. We are looking for a part-time cashier. Responsibilities include answering the telephone, operating our computerized point of sale system, assisting customers, following proper procedures, greeting and thanking customers, and whatever other tasks the store managers assign. In addition, cashiers may be taken off the register to complete tasks in other areas of the store such as putting up merchandise, doing inventory, checking in orders, straightening and cleaning an area, putting up backstock, watering plants, etc. Applicants must be comfortable using computers and able to stand on their feet for an 8 hour shift. Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred. Applicants must be available to work daytime and evening hours and one shift each weekend. We are open seven days per week including weekend and evening hours and most holidays (closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). Applicants will be eligible for a generous employee discount.
