Surgical Support Tech What You Will Do:Surgical Support TechnicianFull-time, M-F 9a-5:30pBaltimore, MDThe Surgical Support Technician under direct supervision of perioperative nursing, performs delegated functions including those of an Operating Room Assistant. Assists in arranging the OR suite for surgery. Assists in the transfer of patients from stretcher to the operating room (OR) table. Under the direction of the circulating nurse, sets up equipment and supplies appropriate for the surgical procedure.Our UM Rehab & Ortho Institute 141-bed facility welcomes over 3,000 patients every year. As the designated acute care rehabilitation and orthopedic hospital, we welcome over 3,000 patients every year. Our surgeries take place in 6 operating rooms designed for orthopedic surgery combined with our efficient 7-bed Medical-Surgical Unit.
