You will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify and support software throughout the development life cycle. You can demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution. You have a proven ability to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing the negative impact through defects, downtime, or performance degradationAreas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:Design, develop, test, and release software related to the Factory Automation software architectureMonitor and react to line & IT system performance metrics/indicatorsDesign and build various support, maintenance, and metrics gathering utilities.Gathering and analyzing data to support automation and customer teams, present data to various groups and levels of managementDefine and make suggestions that improve performance and process issuesParticipate in meetings, management reviews, and IT group coordination where applicable/necessaryBuild, maintain, and manage training and support knowledge materialProvide coordination and action with Major Incident events affecting operations including management of any required post-mortems and associated communicationParticipate with Micron Worldwide Problem Management (local and/or global)Solve software defectsParticipate in a 24x7 support on-call rotation.Required:B.S. in Computer Science or related field of study is requiredPractical experience with command and control of physical machines via software integrationProven experience in scripting languages such as TCL and Python.Solid understanding of ITIL Incident, Release, Change, and Problem Management practices.Practical experience in developing SQLSoftware testing experience.The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.Strong organizational and project management skills, technical direction, and vision.The ability to work on several critical tasks at once as well as work with minimal supervision.Ability to drive for results, eliminate distractions and place the proper focus on the tasks necessary for success.Desired:Have experience in Scrum development process.Experience with DevOps tools such as Team Foundation Server and/or JenkinsExperience with continuous monitoring tools like SplunkWorking knowledge of containerization and/or on-prem cloud solutionsDesigns, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.EducationBS in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
