Hybrid model with flexibility.The Vice President of Business Development implements the business strategy and delivers Client support to include: market assessment and entry points, lead generation and qualification, pursuit win strategies, customer and competitive assessments, and win plans. They will lead growth efforts, manage the business development organization, and coordinate with operations leadership and Subject Matter Experts to grow a qualified short-, mid-, and long-term business winning pipeline, targeting both prime and subcontract opportunities. They will develop new offerings that build from current capabilities and meet market needs. They will cultivate business relationships and represent to customer and industry contacts; work with operations SMEs in producing responses to Government or partner Requests for Information; and lead opportunity qualification, teaming, and proposal winning activities. Responsibilities Grow within the Intelligence Community, Defense, and Federal Law EnforcementLead a team of business development experts, providing support, guidance, and performance input where neededResponsible for building company presence as a provider and effectively leading the marketing of the capabilities associated with specific business capabilities resulting to achieve and/or exceed the business plan and objectivesAssess future growth opportunities aligned with the strategic growth directionResponsible for approving teaming arrangements, advance intelligence gathering, strategy development, technical proposal strategy and cost strategy formulationLead multiple capture efforts by discovering areas of opportunity, leading and implementing the capture process, and significantly increasing the win rate for capture effortsSupport business operations executive leadership in achieving annual Business Goals & ObjectivesImplement the Capture Management Process, work with Business Operations executives to develop a pipeline of opportunities, and manage all aspects of the Business Acquisition processMission understanding/experience and functional understanding of market technology trends and directionsInterface with senior government customers and contracts personnel as well as Corporate Senior Management, Corporate Program Managers and other Corporate Business Development personnel Qualifications Bachelor's degree; Master's Degree is desirable15 plus years in business development, program management and/or strategic planning with 5 years of leading a business development teamPossess an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI accessExperience leading and managing captures efforts in the GOVCON marketProven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and marketsProven experience leading a team of business development experts, setting goals, forecasting opportunities, and leading capture effortsExperience in developing teaming arrangements, advance intelligence gathering, strategy development, technical proposal writing and cost proposal formulationExperience building and managing customer relationships with customers to seek out and identify new business opportunitiesComprehensive understanding of the GOVCON environment and acquisition process, specifically in the information collection, analysis, and exploitation areasDemonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, eg acquisition officials/leads in the IC, Department of Defense, Federal Law Enforcement, and other government agencies for identifying and developing potential business opportunitiesAbility to respond effectively to Government requirements through the development of Request for Information responses and Technical Proposals Ability to write using original or innovative techniques or styleAbility to integrate regulatory, customer, political and market information into effective business strategies and plansStrong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with all audiencesDemonstrated understanding of analytical tradecraft and support technologiesStrong leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate and influence others to support corporate goals and objectivesStrong communication skills, including group presentations, Travel Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
