When you join Choptank Transport, a Hub Group Company as the Collections Specialist you will support the company by calling our customers to collect outstanding debts or organize appropriate payment arrangements. This position is located at our corporate headquarters at 3601 Choptank Road, Preston, MD 21655. Responsibilities: Contacting customers to collect payments Negotiate payment arrangements on past due accountsEducate our customers on Choptank products and technology such as ORBITEntering accurate and up-to-the-minute information into company systems while ensuring accuracyUtilize analytical skills to resolve discrepancies, short payments, and overdue balancesCommunicate and use interpersonal skills with sales and department leaders regarding customer accountsAccurately balance customer accounts online while keeping the customer up to date on payment schedules. Qualifications: A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.Associates degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping preferredExceptional customer service skills both internally and externally.Two or more years of collections or accounts receivable follow up experience preferredStrong, professional written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a mathematical environmentComputer skills, experience with Microsoft Office/Outlook or similar email application EOE Statement: Choptank Transport is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
