Peraton is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Lanham, Maryland. This is a hybrid position and requires on-site support in Lanham 2 to 3 days a week. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Enterprise Systems Testing program. This program supports the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) tax processing pipeline and master file systems. Roles and Responsibilities:Conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple programs in an IBM mainframe or client/server environment.Use IRS or Contractor-developed documentation to construct test cases with predetermined results and test data to verify program functionality and/or interfaces through assigned systems.Review output to determine whether or not the test results fulfill the established requirements, and if necessary, notify the responsible programmers, both verbally and in writing, of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in the programs and/or documentation.Coordinate test activities with project stakeholders.Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing.Provide inputs on the required testing level of effort for Unified Work Request. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of progressive IT experience; OR a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience: OR 9 years of relevant work experience in the IT field.3 years of software testing experience.Before beginning work, candidate must obtain interim staff like access based upon an IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation security clearance. Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green card holder) in order to obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust clearance.
