Primary Function:Manages the day-to-day functions of the finance department for HCRS, Inc. Creates and interprets financial statements and reports. Compiles financial information, processes journal entries into various accounts, reconciles reports and financial data in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and contractual (government and industry) obligations.Essential Job Functions: Develop financial reports for financial analysis, forecasting, trending, and results analysis. Financial reports include voucher incoming accounts payables (A/P), post approved vouchers to general ledger (GL), pay vendors, accounts receivables (A/R), payroll reconciliation, budget, cash flow analysis, and project management accounting.Ensure timely collection of account receivables within 30-60 days of invoice date to identify delinquencies and initiate collections for all A/R on invoices past 31 days old.Ensure timely accounts payables payments and reconciliations. Work collaboratively with lenders to coordinate funding requests.Interpret financial transactions and events to executives and senior management to make business decisions (monthly closing statements, budget reconciliation, forecasting, project accounting).Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with GAAP.Conduct monthly Finance meetings with managers to present accounting project status, company budgets and forecasting. Oversee the preparation of working papers, lines of credit and approved budgets to ensure that expenditures for budgets and contracts are monitored and that reports are prepared to maintain balanced accounts. Develop and maintain current knowledge on the formal and informal organization goals, standards, policies and procedures and is sensitive to how this information relates to both the employees and business functions within the organization. Perform additional duties as assigned. Basic Position Requirements:Abilities: Effective communication skills with the ability to provide information using tact and persuasion as required. Good oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers. Demonstrate decision-making, problem solving and analytical skills and understand the impact on employees, finances and quality of services. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of company information. Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or equivalent experience. Five years of work experience specific to government contracting. Proficient in the use of Deltek Costpoint. Expert in Microsoft Office: PowerBI, Word, Access, and ExcelTraining: Compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), FAR, CAS, SCA, and other government regulations. Supervisory Responsibilities: May assist in directing activities of staff or a function.Working Conditions: Normal office conditions; sitting in a seated position for extended period of hours; reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction; finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s); visual acuity; repetitive keyboard typing and calculating.
