He/she ensures that the system meets the requirements established by management for the efficient management of inmate collections, accurate processing and recording of funds, management of commissary sales and commissary inventory control, inmate performance pay management, and prompt reporting to the US Treasury fund account. Incumbent oversees the centralization of collections through a national lock box bank operation which includes real time electronic deposits and the receipts and transfer of electronic data from the bank to the individual inmate accounts in the TRUFACS System. He/she oversees the Inmate Debit Card (Release Card) program which includes daily reconciliation, funding to the contract bank, and field support of transactions. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in federal service. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience that demonstrates broad knowledge in the areas of finance, Trust Fund programs, computer systems (hardware and software), and the ability to apply and evaluate control standards for Federal financial systems. Experience in managing Trust Fund Systems such as: Trust Fund Accounting and Commissary System (TRUFACS); Trust Fund Payroll Accounting for Inmate Details (TRUPAID); Trust Fund Tracking Requisition and Consumption (TRUTRAC); and Trust Fund Web based inmate inquiry application (TRUWEB). Experience in analyzing information and providing recommendations in regard to the formulation, establishment or modification of agency/organization financial management program objectives, plans, and/or policies. Experience in providing training and technical advice on TRUFACS, TRUWEB, TRUTRAC, and TRUPAID Trust Fund systems to include related aspects of accounting, reconciliation and problem resolution. Credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
