If you are ready to be challenged, advance your career, passionate about making a difference, and are excited to support our country's defense and intelligence missions, we are ready to talk to you!What you'll do: The Systems Administrator - Mid Level will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Configure Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems Other duties may include: Setting up administrator accounts Maintaining system documentation Tuning system performance Installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space Interacting with users and evaluating vendor products Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software Coordinate installation and provide backup recovery Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources QualificationsRequired qualifications: Requires Bachelor's degree in related field of study with 8 or more years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD. TS/SCI with ability to pass a polygraph Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active Linux (CentOS, RHEL, or Oracle) or Windows Performing snapshots, disaster recovery, performance tuning Installation, STIG hardening, patching Excellent troubleshooting skills and Tier 1 communication skills Experience developing and maintaining critical documentation (SIPs, SAGs, SOPs, Getting started guides) Full time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible Desired qualifications: Experience working with Agile scrum teams Cloud (EC2s, S3, Elasticache), Kafka, Openshift, Docker, Keycloak, Wildfly PKI certificates, SSL, service accounts Maintaining multiple environment types (physical, virtual, cloud) Active TS/SCI w/Poly Benefits: At Peraton, our benefits are designed to help keep you at your best beyond the work you do with us daily.
