SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Communications Coordinator to join our team. The incumbent will be a critical member of a thriving association communications team. They will have strong writing and proofreading skills, and experience with a variety of print and digital content. It is critical that the candidate be well-organized and ambitious with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize requests, meeting multiple deadlines while still maintaining top-quality work.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Schedule, layout, and provide reporting metrics for association emails, preferred experience with an email marketing tool. (From the Desk, Membership Matters, Government Relations Update, Tech Talk, etc.).Forming and scheduling Social Media posts with the marketing coordinator.Provide graphic design assistance for web elements.Responsible for proofreading and editing articles for the magazine, blogs, and newsletters.Responsible for the layout of ACCA Now Magazine and ensuring that all ads are placed properly.Collaborates with Marketing Content Coordinator to ensure that all ad materials for Corporate Partners are received in a timely manner.Developing blog articles from timely news items.Create and deploy online surveys.Assist with the creation and logistics of webinars and podcasts.Maintain schedule for updating content.Responsible for making updates to ACCA's blogsite (ie, posting blogs, magazine articles, etc.)Provide backup assistance for the ACCA website.Collaborate with marketing to schedule promotions of the webcast and other communications projects via social media, print, and online ads.Additional opportunities as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in media/magazine/newsletter management. Association experience is a plus.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including staff, board members, and industry partners.Excellent proofreading and editing skills to ensure content delivered is clean and concise.Excellent phone skills with the dedication to make numerous calls over the course of a day.Broad knowledge of headlines.Computer proficiency (Microsoft 365, digital editing, web search, project management software, and databases)Knowledge of WordPress, online email marketing programs, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a plus.Ability to be flexible, multi-task, and manage own time and priorities to meet publication deadlines; able to turn around superior quality products within often limited turnaround times.Self-starter, quick learner, can-do attitude, and friendly.Strong desire to be proactive by looking for opportunities to grow professionally.
