LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (LAMP/MOBILE/AZURE) ALTA IT Services is seeking a Lead Software Engineer/Architect for a 6 month + contract engagement, supporting Maryland-based software company. The desired candidate will bring to the table a variety of technical skills that include LAMP, mobile application development and Azure to support the modernization and expansion of a software product that currently resides in a LAMP environment. The role will involve enhancing the mobile capabilities of the software and eventually modernizing the entire system for future expansion efforts. There is the potential for the position to extend beyond 6 months, including the possible conversion to direct hire. The candidate will take on a lead technical role, partnering with the client CTO to continue the development of the system strategy and design, then transition the team into development. This is a hands-on position requiring interest and ability to perform software development tasks. REQUIRED SKILLS Full stack LAMP (PHP Laravel) development skillsMobile Development eg, Kotlin, SwiftProduct mindset, experience following Agile methodologiesExperience with Azure, DevOps, strongly desiredExperience with CI/CD and automated testing is also a plus.Team leadership, customer focused, desire to build a growing team of talented software engineers.
