MILITARY VETERANS Responsibilities Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Junior Project Manager (Clinical Research) to support the Diagnostics Countermeasures Branch (DCB) located at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to DCB. This position would allow an individual to work from home in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia area Monday-Friday. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting DCB Leadership, DCB's Scientists and technical teams in the implementation of clinical research studies within DCB and with collaborators. The incumbent will keep DCB Team Leads and Senior Scientific staff updated on study plans, timelines, accomplishments, and recommended mitigation of the risks/challenges. They will work within a multidisciplinary environment encompassing US Military, US Government Agencies, Foreign Militaries, Non-Profit Organizations, Academia, and International Scientific collaborators. NOTE: All HJF employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination or an approved religious or medical accommodation will be required. Responsibilities: Works closely with DCB scientific staff to track all clinical research project/protocol objectives, timelines, cost estimates and deliverables to ensure successful completion of projects within established timelines. Continually assesses risks to protocol implementation and works quickly to communicate these to Scientific Team Leads and the Senior Project Manager for Clinical Research to identify, resolve, and monitor issues that may have an impact on DCB clinical research activities. Uses project management tools, databases and tracking forms to monitor progress of clinical research projects. Provides project updates in meetings and to relevant staff as required. Tracks and maintains critical documents related to clinical research activities as part of DCB's scientific work to include, but not limited to, study plans, agreements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), study binders, and close out documents. Engages with project stakeholders by facilitating information flow as a liaison between DCB and collaborators to ensure success of clinical research activities as needed. Manages team communications and meetings as needed to include scheduling, preparation of meeting agendas, summaries, action items and circulation of materials to attendees. Prepares reports and/or presentations regarding status of clinical research projects. Routinely handles confidential and sensitive information. Performs all other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven track record in leading/managing the implementation of clinical research protocols; monitoring risk for meeting implementation timelines and developing risk mitigation strategies. Ability to proactively manage projects and quality deliverables. Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently; ability to use sound judgment in solving problems, ability to multi-task; coordinate many complex systems and projects simultaneously. Excellent analytical skills in the preparation of reports, tracking metrics and creating project timelines. Experience with project management software a plus. Smartsheet experience preferred. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: A minimum of 0-2 years experience required. Work Environment : Office setting. Work Arrangement: This position is 100% telework with the ability to come in for meetings or trainings as required.
