Job Description We are Hostetter Strent, LLC This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of seasoned professionals at Hostetter Strent, LLC, a Bethesda, Maryland based law firm specializing in family law. Job Summary Hostetter Strent, LLC is looking for a rising star who will assist our lawyers by providing administrative and support services including document preparation, review and filling; assist attorneys with day-to-day office operations; and trial preparation. Essential Functions Drafts, proofs and/or edits correspondence, pleadings, agreements, etc. Maintains attorney calendars, schedules consultations, meetings, events, conferences, and trainings. Assists attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing and organizing exhibits and attorney trial notebooks. Maintains and manages correspondence, pleadings, court logs, files etc. Answers phones and responds to general inquiries, including new client intake. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of legal language and principles, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite or related software, such as Zoom/Webex and Clio. Education & Experience Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred. Paralegal certificate highly desirable. At least 2 5 years of related experience preferred. Requirements COVID vaccination mandatory Criminal background check US authorization to work What are we looking for?
