Job Description About Stone's Throw Hash: Stone's Throw Hash is a food start up in Washington DC based in Union Kitchen that makes flavorful, healthy breakfast and lunch style hash bowls with real, natural ingredients. Our mission is to grow local food consumption, and we donate 1% of all revenue to local farming initiatives. As a result we focus on sourcing the best quality, locally sourced ingredients. You can find our hashes in grocery stores and coffee shops throughout Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington DC We are expanding quickly. Job Responsibilities: - Manage daily operations - conducting operations autonomously. - Food preparation responsibilities include: cutting, cooking, and preparing food to HACCP plan with detailed record keeping to HACCP plan. - Managing inventory and reordering ingredients as needed, and cleaning and sanitizing operational area before, during and after operations. - Maintain and document cleaning and sanitizing procedures. - Ensure food safety and product quality at all stages of the food production process according to HACCP plan. - Maintain regular and punctual attendance. - Work with high sense of urgency at all times and provide motivation and positive attitude towards other team members and staff. Qualifications: - Culinary school training a strong preference with experience as a chef/sous chef. - Experience managing other team members. Job Type: Part-time to start with opportunity to move to full-time within three months.
