Sr SOC Analyst
Description:Our client is actively seeking a Sr. SOC Analyst to enable our operational counterparts advanced analytics support to promote the rapid analysis of national level cyber threats and incidents. The ideal candidate will provide technical support of a 24x7 cyber program in the areas of incident response, insider threat investigations, forensics, cyber threats and information security. The main immediate skills desired are incident response, SIEM tool experience (preferably Splunk), and understanding end point detection. This position will be part of a new team being formed for USPTO to provide capabilities from one overall team. In the past these tasks were broken up into multiple contracts. One was incident response and the other one was vulnerability assessment and security engineering. The USPTO wants it now as one team as they are trying to get more mature in the cyber defense operation. Contractors do have to be aUS Citizen.Skills:Splunk, Threat hunting, Incident response, Security operations, encase, Security, Siem, Cyber security, Information security, scriptingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:scripting experience or certification are nice to haves.Top secret clearance is a nice to have as well but they do not have to have a clearance to start working. They need to be eligible to get one tough.
