Description:The Desktop Engineer will work individually and in a team to develop and implement solutions for our client's Test Center Network. The role will require an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems - Server 2008/2016/2019, Win 7 and Win 10, knowledge of database systems and Powershell for scripting and automation.This role involves working with Product Owners/Developers to assist in architecting solutions, so good communication and inter-personal skills are required. Site Engineering work closely with our Project Managers, System Packaging Team, Global Test Center Support Managers\staff, Operations Command Center and Global Account Manager to develop and support the global Test Center Network.Skills:Desktop, Sccm, Support, Troubleshooting, Active directory, Windows 10, Powershell, Scripting, AutomationTop Skills Details:Desktop,Sccm,Support,Troubleshooting,Active directoryAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Day to day:As a member of the Site Engineering Team, the Windows Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting new technical architecture in the Test Center network. The Team create solutions for persistent technical issues and automate server build processes to reduce or eliminate errors and to simplify and improve the site build process. The team evaluates and creates solutions for the introduction of new technology in the testing center network that develops and improves the flexibility of our client's delivery options for clients.Evaluate and integrate new workstation and server hardware for the networkEvaluate and integrate new software or Operating Systems for the networkCreate and support automation solutions for large scale rollouts to reduce the timescales and improve the quality of deploymentsWork with Product Owners/Developers to assist in architecting solutions.Work with System Packaging to streamline distribution of new solutionsContinually improve documentation and creation of knowledge documents to enable the team to better serve the organizationStrong communications skills are needed to clearly communicate issues, solutions and their impact to the business across the organization and Client staff.Other duties as assignedthis person will be Integrating our clients software into our client's server build, workstation build, figuring out requirements, get a product working, working with a new piece of hardware; integration of hardware/software.Experience Level:Intermediate Level About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
