Job Summary/Company:

Sparks group has partnered with a tri-jurisdictional government agency that is seeking an Employee Relations Officer to provide guidance, counseling, coaching, and training to maintain a positive company culture.   • Conduct comprehensive investigations of workplace complaints
  • Counsel employees and management to help with employee relations concerns including alleged acts of misconduct, workplace violence, and poor performance
  • Collaborate with management to ensure performance action plans are developed and communicated appropriately
  • Maintain metrics of Office of Employee Relations activity to include consultations, investigations, and exit interviews to analyze departmental trends and proactively address potential issues
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5 years' progressive experience in HR including employee relations, program management, or dispute resolution
  • Experience in a unionized work environment
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft and MS Office
