Principal Associate, Workplace Design - WPS

We are looking to add to our dynamic team that is focused on workplace strategy, Associate experience & innovation as part of the greater workplace solutions corporate real estate team. Once hired, this individual will work closely with members of the team and on projects across various office locations. Up to 25% travel will be required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize current research, trends and knowledge of workspace best practices to consult in support of enterprise guidelines, company culture and ever-changing business objectives.
  • Partner with design and construction teams to support translation of strategy into the build environment.
  • Identify, recommend and implement ways to drive optimal utilization of the workplace, programs and services
  • Exhibit a passion for creativity, a love for problem solving in a team oriented and highly functional and fast paced environment
  • Enjoy researching workplace performance industry trends and space utilization statistics with the ability to apply information into recommendations
  • Ability to apply skills in data gathering (both qualitative and quantitative) to recommend considerations for space, program and services innovation
  • Obtain a working knowledge of internal design principles and standards - providing maintenance to guidelines over time
  • Ability to interpret overall strategy and consult on project specific intent and application


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in design or strategy for Corporate clients
  • At least one year of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in facilitating in-person research sessions for the purpose of gathering input and studying customer insights (i.e. focus groups or visioning sessions) .
  • Client-service oriented
  • Active Design license
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with associates at all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Skilled in presentation and/or 3D software: InDesign, Adobe suite, sketchup or other 3D modeling software
