Duties

  • Performs routine review and analysis of new and revised forms/and graphics products for functionality, and adherence to design standards and publishing policy.
  • Provide support and expertise in design and management of forms and graphics/illustrations for Department of the Army (DA) forms and publications programs.
  • Assist Division Chief in assessing, distributing, and aligning the workload among employees in accordance with established workflows, requirements of assignments, priorities, and personnel competencies.
  • Maintain coordination and collaboration both internally and cross-divisionally to develop more effective operational procedures, resolve problems, and maintain relevant design standards.
  • Exercise professionalism, tact, and sound judgment. Ensure proponents' proposed forms and graphics/illustrations developed by division personnel meet or exceed requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience to include supporting oversight of component wide forms and graphics programs ensuring compliance to program policies and procedures, monitoring the currency and lifecycle of forms /graphics software and hardware products; identifying emerging forms/graphics technology for potential program enhancements; utilizing forms and graphic design software to develop compliant forms/graphics products; providing technical support and advising others on forms and graphics matters; performing routine review and analysis of new and revised forms/and graphics products for functionality, and adherence to design standards and publishing policy. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
