We are seeking Principal Systems Engineers to help evolve our technology and grow our business into new domains and markets. Are you up to the challenge? We're looking for you!The successful candidate will be effective at face-to-face interaction, respond to requests for information, support technical meetings, technical interchanges and enterprise working groups, if required. The candidate must be able to work independently and represent the program and Raytheon at meetings and working groups with government and associate contractors.Work Location:Ft. Meade or Newport NewsRelocation assistance available provided final candidate meets eligibility requirementsSecurity Requirement:An active Secret US security clearanceResponsibilities:Serves as subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge of a particular area, such as business, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the various sciences.Provides technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Participates as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases. Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions. Provides expertise on an as-needed basis to all task assignments.Provides expert advice and assistance in state-of-the-art software and hardware.Coordinates with contractor management and government personnel to ensure that the problem has been properly defined and that the solution will satisfy the government's requirementRequired Skills:Familiarity with relevant DoD requirements for the various imagery and intel Systems.Experience performing research that support interpretation from sensor/data source.Search databases for raw and finished data to generate products and support productionUpdating systems based on target analysis in a dynamic environmentConfiguration management/data managementProven written and oral communications including presentation and facilitation skills.8+ years of experienceCONTINGENCY OPENING - Will be filled if contract is awardedRaytheon Technologies is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
