This position is contingent upon contract award Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supervision of Chief Operating Engineer (NARA - College Park)Supervision of other Operating EngineersProvides supervisory assistance and technical support of operations and maintenance at NARA - College Park.Serves as Acting Operational Manager for NARA DC and College Park.Performs asset/equipment inspections, recommends improvements per industry standards, develops project estimates for IDIQ work.Be available and flexible to supervise, on-site 24/7/365 critical operations.Performing duties associated with the operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air-conditioning and heating equipmentMaking adjustments and minor repairs to mechanical and electrical equipment and component parts of heating and air-conditioning systems and auxiliary support equipmentMaking physical inspections of equipment and tests equipment for correct operation of all components of the refrigeration cycle and other relevant factors contributing to the proper and efficient operation of HVAC systemsAnswering occupants' complaints relating to HVACProviding technical support in the efficient and safe operation and maintenance of all mechanical equipmentProposing operational changes to improve efficient use of the facilities equipment.Qualifications:Senior Chief Engineer must possess a valid 1st Class Steam Engineer License issued the District of Columbia or be alicensed Mechanical EngineerPossess skill and knowledge in HVAC systemsHave the ability to perform preventive maintenance on all operational and mechanical equipmentHave knowledge to operate related electrical equipment and machinery.Must fluently speak, read and write the English languageEMCOR Government Servicesrequires all employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
