Job DescriptionJob Title: Sr. Principal AccountantDuration: Long TermLocation: Gaithersburg, MDKey Responsibilities: Actively participate in all aspects of month-end close to include creation and accuracy of journal entries, month end variance analysis, create and accuracy of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and assist with the creation of accurate and timely management reporting Primary point of contact for multiple foreign subsidiaries; review and analyze monthly reporting package prepared by foreign subsidiaries to ensure accurate reporting with US GAAP Review subsidiary financial statements and work with respective teams to resolve any issues Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and manage intercompany activity with subsidiaries Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statement analysis Prepare monthly foreign exchange rate analysis Assist in the preparation of consolidated schedules to be used in the SEC filings Prepare schedules used in audit testing by Internal and External Auditors Documenting, administering and maintaining appropriate documentation and identification of the Company's SOX key processes and controls.Basic Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor or Masters' Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 7 years of related accounting experience including significant exposure to revenue recognition issues - predominately at large, multi-national public companies Minimum of 7 years of knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS or other regional local GAAP standards and technical accounting research capabilities 5 years of working with large, global ERP systems (Oracle or SAP); Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion PlanningPreferred Qualifications: CPA preferred Very strong communication and influencing skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple functional and business groups Superior organization and prioritization skills Highly skilled in data analysis and proven ability to present data in a clear, concise and compelling manner to all levels of managementEmployment Practices:EEO, ADA, FMLA CompliantVLink is an equal opportunity employer.
