The Litigation Support Analyst role is an excellent opportunity for advancement for someone with prior litigation support experience. This role provides individuals with increasingly more customer interaction and increased responsibility in the development of case support including performing moderately complex research and detailed data analysis using automated litigation support and eDiscovery tools and resources (Relativity). For this specific position, the Litigation Support Analyst/Paralegal will support various litigation matters within the Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services, namely mandamus litigation, visa petition appeals, and complex class action litigation. This is a hybrid position, with expected telework and part-time onsite support taking place at the USCIS headquarters in Camp Spring, MD. After an initial "learning and training" period in-person every day for 1 to 3 months, in-person support is expected to be only 2 days over a 2-week/10 business days pay period (based upon assignment). **There is free parking in the building garage for a year (to be evaluated next year by the local USCIS HQ Facilities management) and there is paid parking at the Metro Station across the street from the USCIS HQ at Camp Springs, MD. Please note the availability of public Metro transportation to the Station across the street from USCIS HQ.More About the RoleThe Litigation Support Analyst role works closely with the Department of Homeland Security, US Citizens and Immigration Service, Office of the Chief Counsel attorneys in a fast-paced setting and assist in the resolution of various litigation matters to enforce the laws of the United States, up to and including support assistance for claim reviews and adjudication, assistance at immigration hearings, and performing legal writing and research. Addition responsibilities include:Perform legal and administrative duties as requested by attorneys for the resolution of immigration matters.Assist with case organization and maintenance; plays integral role in preparing team for witness interviews, discovery, and trials.Provide in-courtroom assistance, exhibit collection and review, and legal research as needed based on trial demands.Utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document review, communicating detailed summaries and analyses of findings.Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel, and others as needed.Organize and prioritize numerous tasks effectively and completes tasks under strict time constraints.Work on multiple cases simultaneously and multi-task with minimal supervision.Log and organize incoming and outgoing discovery productions.Proofread material as needed for contextual, grammatical, and formatting errors.Summarize articles, reports, witness statements.Review documents for relevance according to established guidelines and criteria. You'll Bring These QualificationsUndergraduate degree or three years of experience on major litigation support projectsHighly organized and demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environmentMust have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities. Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment.A knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
