Title:Space RF Systems Engineer - TS/SCIKBR is searching for a Space RF System Engineer (RFSE) professional with payload and space craft component and testing to support transition and fielding of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. In this position, you will provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) for the Intelligence Community in the SIGINT domain.You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the program. Engineering responsibilities span technology domains including space rated hardware, sensors, and communications systems in an extremely fast-paced, responsive development environment. The candidate will provide in-depth electromagnetic spectrum background on satellite vehicle bus and/or RF subsystems to improve program office insight into state-of-the art IC, DoD, commercial and legacy space vehicle systems to include communications and payload requirements and capabilities.Roles and Responsibilities: Performs technical analysis of RF systems solutions, limitations, and capabilitiesAdvises government program management on technical design and production trade spaceInterfaces with prime and subcontractor vendors as well as other external stakeholders, to include government units, to validate system design, manufacture, test, performance, and delivery requirementsApplies experience working with space systems of associated satellite technology as well as wide variety of RF systems or family-of-systems to ensure what is being developed by contractor meets requirementsSupport the development and presentation of program overview and advocacy briefings to the IC and the DoDInterfaces with prime and subcontractors and other external stakeholders, to include government units, to validate system design, test, and performance requirementsProvide requirements V support to the baseline effort as we progress through system and enterprise test to launchSupport element, system, and enterprise test campaignsSupport program and SPO ERBsManage review process (delta-CDR) for follow-on effortConduct system anomaly trouble shooting and interface with vendors and mission partners to ensure systems will meet the end goals of stakeholders.Provide technical expertise for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and planning.Translate complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommendations or easily differentiated courses of actionCommunicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy-oral and writtenMinimum Qualifications6 years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experience related to payload and space systems components; Experience in spacecraft, and RF SATCOM payloadsKnowledge of mission payload engineering, development, and manufacturingAbility to perform System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to Government program officeExperience with integrating satellite bus and payloadsExperience in planning and executing test campaigns for space systemsFluency with IC organizations and intimate knowledge with NSAEducation Minimum Requirements: Relevant BS degree An applicable engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for EngineeringClearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) with a Counter-Intelligence polygraphCandidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employmentLocation/Travel Requirements: May require travel up to 15% of time within the continental United StatesDesired Qualifications:Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needsExperience in IC and DoD program management including program development and transitionExperience with Statements of Work (SOW), Integrated Master Schedules, and risk managementIn compliance with the US federal government's vaccine mandate, only candidates who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a reasonable accommodation or approved medical exception will be considered for this position.KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
