The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Senior Payroll Coordinator at our headquarters in Leesburg, VA. Responsibilities and Duties will include but not limited to: Processes bi-weekly employee payrolls as well as their associated statements of earnings and deductions for over 300 employees in 32 States. Ensures that all onboarding employee data is accurately setup via employee self-service Reviews and approves employee tax changes, direct deposits Completes local, and state tax jurisdiction registrations and system codes setup Produces/reconciles W2s, W2Cs, quarterly 940 and 941 payroll tax filings Maintains appropriate cash funding for payrolls, garnishments, and tax payments Completes daily and ad hoc data interface between ADP and, Deltek, CostPoint Exports/imports Deltek TE file and ADP Workforce file between DELTEK TE & Costpoint Post Bi-weekly, PTO Leave Accruals Calculates gross-ups, PTO payouts, assesses new hires/terms labor dilutions Reconciles Payroll hours and gross earnings to General Ledger and supporting systems Prepares Payroll liability journal for each payroll Reconciles Quarterly 940, 941 Payroll tax reporting/filings to Payroll Registers Manages, and responds to all internal and external payroll related emails, and inquiries Conducts Semi-monthly meetings with HR and Benefits team POC for all payroll related internal/external audits, ie, Workers-Comps, 401k, DOL Skills & Requirements Required Qualifications: BA degree in Finance, Business, or related field required 5+ years of related experience Experience in accounting, payroll, and/or spreadsheet software preferredKnowledge & Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle complex payroll processing and reporting Must have a good knowledge of ADP payroll system Ability to work in a timely fashion without supervisory direction Proficient in computerized payroll functions Precise attention to detail Ability to create spreadsheets and reports Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with all levels Understanding of federal, state and local tax payment regulations Ability to handle confidential employee data Demonstrated dependability through punctual attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules Conforms and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoicesPreferred Skills: Experience with Deltek Costpoint and the ability to enter and manage contract data within the system.
