This role can be located in Dallas, TX, or McLean, VA Our Global HR team partners with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton's most important asset, our Team Members. What will I be doing? The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator supports HRX, which provides high-quality, consistent service to US Corporate and US Property Team Members across several HR functional areas across the enterprise. You will respond to general Team Member inquiries as well as handle key HR processes. As the HR Coordinator, you are the "face of HR," ensuring every Team Member is treated as well as Hilton treats our Guests. More specifically, you will: Assist Team Members with general inquiries/questions through various mediums (eg, phone, email, walk-ins). Review and coordinate the new hire, transfer, termination, and Team Member personnel change processes to ensure accordance with established policies, procedures, and timeliness. Facilitate New Hire Orientation, as well as coordinate and manage all onboarding activities (eg, processing job offers, processing, and escalation of background checks) for new and transferring Team Members within the Corporate business unit. Support position management and payroll processes, including the processing of merit increases, promotions, transfers, and coordination with Payroll on retro-pay. Administer and manage leave of absence requests, including Military, Personal, Family, and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Workers Compensation, and Disability, by processing and tracking paperwork and updating Hilton's human capital management system. Interact with Team Members and other work groups to ensure appropriate documentation is obtained and retained in compliance with FMLA and ADA regulations. Support processes for employment verification requests, employment eligibility requests, Team Member relocation requests, and other requests. Coordinate unemployment claims including capturing required documentation and submitting it to the third-party administrator(s), and scheduling unemployment hearings with key management and HR personnel. Liaise with vendors on background checks, Form I-9s, workers' compensation claims, and other processes as needed. Manage customer questions and cases via Hilton's case management tool by triaging cases, researching Team Member questions, and responding effectively and efficiently to ensure complete Team Member satisfaction. Maintain and handle files for personnel as well as company purposes. Provide administrative support, including processing mail, maintaining files, and answering/routing calls and emails. We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills: Build and maintain constructive and significant working relationships High energy and effective communication to represent Hilton's brand of hospitality and positively influence Hilton's partners at all levels, both verbally and in writing A collaborative attitude that personifies hospitality and has a passion for people Deep understanding of time management and organizational skills To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Two (2) years of experience working in Microsoft Office One (1) year of work experience in a Corporate environment It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Three (3) years of experience working in an HR environment with knowledge of local, state, and federal HR-related laws (ie, FMLA) One (1) year of experience working with Oracle Human Capital Management Tools or similar (eg, Workday, PeopleSoft) What is it like working for Hilton?
