The Textron Systems Associate Communications Strategist will support both employee-facing and external corporate communications activities. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role is part of the Strategic Communications team, which along with Marketing & Events and Business Development comprise Textron Systems' Global Military Sales & Strategy organization. As an Associate Communications Strategist, you'll play a key role in helping communicate key projects and strategies to numerous internal and external audiences across multiple channels. Additionally, you'll lead development and dissemination of the team's comprehensive communications metrics reporting to drive continuous improvement. Candidates should be detail-oriented and highly motivated, with the ability to think strategically, adapt quickly and work well with teams and stakeholders across the business. Superior writing and proofreading skills, as well as analytical abilities, are essential. Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Broadly support the three core corporate communications functions within our team: public relations, internal communications and content development Serve as employee communications point of contact for internal stakeholder teams as assigned Deliver high-impact, innovative communications, partnering with cross-functional team members in a coordinated approach while always ensuring consistency of messaging Support campaign messaging efforts through social media, website and digital communications as needed Work across the Strategic Communications group to develop materials that advance key objectives and translate project concepts into easy-to-understand graphs, charts & visual graphics Research media coverage and industry trends Support achievement and reporting of corporate and team key performance indicators Actively contribute to other projects or special programs and support cross-functional initiatives as assigned Position Requirements: 1-3 years of pertinent experience Exemplary writing, editing and presentation skills Experience with executing marketing & communications campaigns Experience with employee communications, social media, content development and public relations Strong detail orientation, project planning and execution skills Action-oriented self-starter Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or Business
