You will be joining a team of professional and providing unique viewpoints and skills, with opportunities to gain valuable experience and exposure to Human ResourcesSkillBridge Internship Program Qualifications:Has served at least 180 days on active dutyIs within 12 months of separation or retirementWill receive an honorable dischargeHave taken any service TAPS/TGPSHas attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 monthsReceived Unit Commander written authorization and approval to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program prior to the start of internshipResponsibilities:Responsible for orientation of all new hires (in conjunction with the HR Associate I)Responsible for providing support to team members with items such as retirement gifts, the LinQuest package to new hires, births and awards.Handle HR purchase orders and processing of invoices.Assist with, and conduct, troubleshooting through Rapid Response for HRIS problems.Assist with performing HR operations duties on a professional levelWork closely with other HR team members supporting the overall mission of the organizationAssist with the team member termination process and all paperwork associatedAnswer questions or concerns regarding company benefits, policies, practices and regulationsReconcile/validate data entry to ensure data integrity in the HRIS and support routine reporting requests. This includes running monthly reportsKeep team member records up-to-date by processing team member status changes in the HRIS system in a timely fashionAssist with providing guidance of the performance review process, goal planning and compensation moduleAssist with supporting initiatives and activities for team members and manager training, which is facilitated by HRGrow knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.Assist with maintaining compliance with Federal and State laws and mitigate risk to the company by staying abreast of current HR practices and changes in employment law, then promptly addressing any gaps in company's existing policies and procedures.Assist with maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.Work closely with HR management to build morale, and increase productivity and retentionAssist with providing HR policy guidance and interpretationAssist updating the team member guidebook and company policiesAssist with developing implementation plans for HR programs and effectively communicate to leaders and team membersParticipate in annual benefits renewal process and assist with open enrollment as neededParticipate in cross-functional work groups to gain and offer HR insight on business and operational challenges.Assist with conducting exit Interviews and perform qualitative data analysis of turnover, discipline, and other metrics.Knowledge of human resources supportAssist in the performance of the enterprise services specialist tasks assignedSupport a program in an enterprise services specialtyUnderstanding of task prioritizationDocument steps of workPerform job at the level necessary to support the organizationSolid proficiency in MS Office and other required toolsSolve and analyzes problemsTask completed accurately and on timeTake ownership of tasksUnderstand company and customer requirementsSkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from LinQuest, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.COVID-19 Compliance Guidelines: As a federal contractor, all LinQuest team members may be required to comply with Executive Order 14042- Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, which may include mandatory vaccination and ability to provide proof of vaccination status prior to start of employment.
