POSITION TITLE: Human Resources AnalystLOCATION: Baltimore, MDTRAVEL: NonePOSITION SUMMARYThe NAACP is seeking a Human Resources ("HR") Analyst to assist in solving HR issues by collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR metrics to make recommendations to streamline HR, organizational and legal compliance processes.RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIESCreate a database of HR metrics from human resource information system (HRIS), payroll outputs, management, and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors' practices, and other sources;Analyze database for trends focused on recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, talent management and compliance with employment laws and regulations;Prepare presentation on findings to human resources team and senior leadership;Generate human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports;Recommend short and long-term goals including milestones and benchmarks for key performance metrics;Recommend policies and activities to improve culture, employee engagement, and performance; Document processes, policies, and procedures to establish a repository of institutional knowledge across HR and the Association;Collaborate with leaders and colleagues in all functional areas across the NAACP to align and integrate Association goals and objectives;Facilitate the implementation of new training, onboarding, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives; Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices; andPerform any other related duties as may be assigned by the VP of People and Culture or other designee.QUALIFICATIONSEducation/ExperienceBachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field or equivalent; Minimum of 3 years of experience in related areas such as job classification and compensation, recruitment, selection, training, employee benefits, and/or equal opportunity compliance preferred;Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills;Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies;Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS; payroll software; CRM; database management; and general office equipment; andExcellent written and verbal communication
